Day 14: The third sunday of advent

(Published on 14. December 2025, 06:00 by SharpFox)

Today, three candles are already light. Time to inorporate this into the Sudoku as well.

SudokuPad
Rules:
  • Normal 4×4 Sudoku rules apply.
  • Three candles are lit and spread their light in a circle. A digit N in a circle indicates, that the digit N appears exactly N times in circles.
  • Each candle also has different temperatures and acts as a thermometer. Digits strictly increase along a candle, starting from the flame.
  • The christmas tree represents the number of layers of branches it shows (4).
Have a lovely third sunday in advent!

I didn’t understand what you meant by “Each candle also has different temperatures and acts as a thermometer.” I assumed that “different temperatures” meant they were all unique, but they weren’t. Nice snack though.
