Rules:

1. Normal Sudoku rules apply.
2. Digits along a thermometer strictly increase from the bulb end.
3. Primes see the digit 1 at least once in distance of their value in horizontal or vertical direction, if allowed by the size of the grid.

@johnreid, thank you for going beast mode and solving with diagonal direction allowed aswell. I checked myself and had fun replaying my own puzzle. What a shame to have this xwing left. Very much appreciated! :)

This puzzle actually solved all the way to a final deadly xwing pattern of four unresolvable cells without restricting the line of sight of 1s to be strictly orthogonal! No wonder it seemed so tough to me :D

Suggestions:

1)In the example, specify you're talking about the number 2 in R2C2.

2)Since the puzzle is unsolvable without assuming that the rule only applies on the ortogonal directions, you should specify that in the rules (also the example in this case would be wrong because R4C4 is diagonally distant 2 from R2C2). Great idea tho, just a small problem with unclear rules

Clarification that North, East, South and West are meant to be any direction. Should have left the note about directions in my description. Learning to make puzzles ':)
