I miss ATK (Anti-Knight Palindrome)

(Published on 1. December 2025, 15:52 by galium_odoratum)

This is a tribute to Abdul the Killer, who (as far as I know) invented this lovely shading rule set. Since no one else seem to publish puzzles anymore using this shading rule set, I tried to create a puzzle on my own. If you are already familiar with this kind of rule set, I expect the difficulty to be 1.5* - 2.5*.

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Shading: Cells containing values exactly one greater than an immediate neighbour (diagonally or orthogonally) within their box are shaded. All the shaded cells are given.

Anti-Knight: Cells a knight's move apart cannot contain the same digit.

Palindrome: Digits along a grey line must read the same forwards and backwards.

XV: Digits joined by a V sum to 5. Not all Vs are necessarily given.

Ein wunderbar fließendes Konstrukt. Eins kommt stets zum nächsten und führt zum Erfolg..

uhm, maybe it's by design, but the palindrome is not needed to solve at all, not sure if the "V" is needed, frankly I doubt it...
