Very cool variant! For Stefan in the comments, if a cage is 156, 1+5=6

I do not understand the rule "Two of the numbers in the cages add to the third number in the cage."
There are cages with two and four numbers?!
What is the meaning of the numbers 17? Is this the cage sum? How is this possible in a 3-cell-cage?
