The 3 in the Night Sky

(Published on 25. November 2025, 13:30 by Wiggel)

This is the seventh puzzle in my '3 Series'.

Every new puzzle in this series gets harder to set.
I currently have more than ten unfinished prototypes for '3' themed puzzles, that may never see the light of day.
This one was based around using Little Killer clues with a value of 3. Enjoy.

Solve on SudokuPad

Rules:

Place the digits 0 to 6 once each in every row and column.
Little Killer: A clue outside the grid gives the sum of the digits along the indicated diagonal. Digits may repeat if allowed by other rules.
Kropki dots: Digits separated by a white dot have a difference of 3. Digits separated by a black dot are in a 1:3 ratio (i.e. one digit is triple the other). Not all dots are given.

Solution code: Row 2 (left to right)

Oh, tricky! Had a great time towards the end, when I switched to coloring certain pairs of numbers I'd noticed.

The way the little killer 3 sums interact is really interesting. I would guess more like 2*, but the puzzle was nice! Thank you for setting.
