Sweet german whisper puzzle, thank you for submitting!
I think 2* is adequate if you compare to other puzzles in here since it doesn't need any technique beside pencil marking

That must have been a pain to disambiguate. Loads of fun, thank you.

PV: Thank you! It was fun setting. Theoretically you always need at least 1 digit in a vanilla german whisper sudoku, because otherwise you would have at minimum 2 solutions. So my challenge for myself was to make a grid with only short whispers and just 1 digit. After basically box 1,2,3,4,7,8,9 set by hand I was just trying stuff out till I found something that worked, but then the problem was it was not possible (at least for me) to solve it without heavy bifurcation, so the end result is 3 digits and I am happy with it :)

Wow, this was fun! Even though it is a classic ruleset, it felt like a fresh and new approach, well done!

definitely an "experts only" puzzle, for several reasons.
thus, level 3

PV: Thank you for your feedback. I agree with you this should be at least a 3, but LMD is strange place regarding difficulty ratings. For a wider audience this sudoku is unreachable, but for LMD audience this sudoku is a breeze. I hope you still enjoyed despite disagreeing the difficulty rating.
