Solve in SudokuPad

Chaos Construction: Divide the grid into nine orthogonally-connected regions, so that each row, column and region contains all the digits 1 through 9 without repetition.

Extra Chaos: No 2x2 square anywhere in the grid may be entirely part of the same region.

Kropki Dots:

  • Black Kropki dots separate digits in a 1:2 ratio.
  • White Kropki dots separate consecutive digits.
  • Both digits on a black or a white dot MUST count the number of cells they see orthogonally in the same region as themselves, including themselves.

Kropki Whats:

  • Grey Kropki dots separate digits in a 1:2 ratio and/or consecutive digits - but you must determine which for each dot.
  • Any digit on a grey dot MAY, but need not, count the number of cells they see orthogonally in the same way as black or white dots.

Kropki Nots:

  • Cells not on Kropki dots NEVER count the number of cells they see orthogonally in the same way as black or white dots.

Very enjoyable puzzle. I've been getting into more chaos construction puzzles lately, and this is why. Thanks.

Beautiful puzzle. Normally I shy away from chaos construction, but I'm glad I did it

Very nice! The negative constraint is powerful, but hard to scan. Thank you

Awesome setting. The region building lifts it to 4* in my opinion. Great fun thx.

Ok I haven't even started yet but as a theatre person who is also a Sudoku addict, I LOVE this pun.

Valid point from marcmees (and it's correct)! I'll edit that when I get a moment.

Q: "in the same way" = cells on b/w dots only can see orthogonally, I suppose?
