Night Time

(Published on 8. November 2025, 16:35 by Zibl)

It's becoming night. With the night comes darkness and shade... and sleepiness. So after this one it's truly time to sleep.

Rules:
1. Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 - 9 in every row, column, and box.

2. YIN-YANG: Shade some cells such that all shaded cells form a single orthogonally connected area, and all unshaded cells form a single orthogonally connected area, and no 2 x 2 area is entirely shaded or unshaded.

3. HOT / COLD: Digits in shaded cells have a value of +1 and digits in unshaded cells have a value of -1. (ie if there is a 3 in a shaded cell it has a value of 4, and if there is a 7 in an unshaded cell it has a value of 6.)

4. CAGES: Values in cages sum to the value in the top left corner of each cage. Digits may not repeat in a cage.

Got turned around a couple of times, forgetting whether I was keeping track of what the sums were, or would be.
Very fun, though!
