Fold-In Hexuro

(Published yesterday, 04:09 by Nell Gwyn)

  • Double Fold-In: For all of the following rules, the puzzle must remain valid when "folded" such that the two edges labeled "A" meet (removing all the cells between them, leaving a 4x8 grid) or the two edges labeled "B" meet (leaving a 9x4 grid), or both at once (leaving a 4x4 grid). All Arrows and Between Lines must also work correctly in each of these folded configurations.
  • Hexagonal Kakuro: Place a digit from 1 to 9 in each cell such that digits do not repeat along any unbroken row of cells with no black cells separating them (along any of the three directions in which the cells share edges).
    • Numbers in black hexagons indicate the sum of the digits that clue "sees" in the indicated direction, up until either the next black hexagon or the edge of the grid.
    • X and Y are constants that must be deduced (a constant's value does not change when the grid is folded).
  • Arrow: Digits along an arrow must sum to the digit in the circle.
  • Between Line: Any digits along a line with two circles on each end must be strictly between the two digits in the circles (if you don't see any of these, try folding...).
