XY-Cages III, "Glum Symmetry"

(Published on 22. October 2025, 14:45 by glum_hippo)

A sequel to my first and second XY-Cages puzzle. Please also check out Richard's tribute to this rule set as part of the SVS series.

Standard Sudoku rules are in effect. That is, no repeats in row, column, nor 3x3 box. Killer cages may not contain repeat digits.

A white diamond between two cages means that the difference between their cage totals is equal to the topmost/leftmost digit in the column/row in which that diamond appears.

A black diamond between two cages means that the ratio between their cage totals is equal to the topmost/leftmost digit in the column/row in which that diamond appears.

Nice puzzle. Lovely flow once you've tackled the opening logic. Unsure about the initial rating, I think it is a bit too easy for a 4* but it feels pretty tough for a 3*.
