Straight Shooter

(Published on 7. October 2025, 01:23 by DubiousMobius)

This puzzle was created for an old prompt from Scojo's weekly setting challenge. This time the challenge was to set a puzzle using slingshots plus one other constraint. I've been struggling with a different take on the prompt for a while now, and this came together as a way of clearing my head. I hope you enjoy, and thanks for giving it a try. All feedback is always appreciated!

Rules:

Sudoku: Place the digits 1-6 once each in every row, column, and 2x3 box.

Slinghots: If an arrow is present in a cell, the digit in the cell the arrow's base is attached to appears in the grid in the direction of the arrow at a distance of N cells, where N is the digit on the arrow.

Blintz Grid: Along a given edge of the grid, edges an equal distance from the middle of the edge wrap to one another, as indicated by the coloring. For example, an arrow looking west from r2c1, will first see r5c1 and then r5c2, etc.

Clues appearing outside the grid are duplicates of clues in the grid and only included to help orient the solver to the grid wrapping.
