met the same problem.
without assuming the thermometer in b5 , nothing can be deduced

Yep, same issue. I was unable to solve this without making assumptions about the thermometer in box 5.

Is it just me or is it required to know that the thermos are single-branch, single bulb? Because I couldn't solve box 5 without that assumption.
For example when r6c5 was still covered, that square could have been a bulb with two branches going out from it, and there seemed to be no way to progress without knowing that a bulb couldn't be there. Could be wrong, just don't know whether to submit a solution code or if I need to put more work into it.
