you start by writing in a bunch of digits. after that, focusing on basic sudoku, with some assistance from the k restriction, you get all the rest, with minimal goodliffing.

therefore, it's level 1. there are 2 simple k tricks with candidates, but not enough to make it level 2.

Very nice! For me a 1 to 2 star puzzle with maybe 1 or 2 a bit harder deductions, which I luckily spotted before I even needed them. Really smooth solve, thank you

When I saw a 3* Nico puzzle, I thought "mmmm...it's going to be a tough one", but this for me was rather a quick 1* puzzle. Flowed smoothly, and fairly quickly after the pencil marks.
