Killer Magic

(Published on 28. September 2025, 15:15 by Florian Wortmann)

In all these years, I haven't actually published a single puzzle with a magic square... I'm catchng up on that now and hope you enjoy it :-)

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Digits may not repeat on the marked diagonal.

Killer
Digits in a cage do not repeat and sum to the small number in the top left corner of the cage.

Magic Square
Box 1 is a magic square i.e. every row, column and 3-cell diagonal within the box sums to 15.

sheesh... that took me a while;
way too many options for way too many killer cages at first, but then I heard that tiny voice in my head: about "... a secret I only share with my favourite people" and then it finally gave me a few more digits to place;

Very interesting, super satisfying (mostly because I thought it'd break me before I break it and was wrong)
Thanks for setting!

Think I set a new record for how many times a solver can forget about a magic square while stuck trying to disambiguate.
