(Chinese) Zodiac Project: Rat

(Published on 26. September 2025, 00:39 by Ratfinkz)

I was nominated to take part in the zodiac project by Katie Splendor a few months ago - but unfortunately my life went, slightly crazy so it's taken me a while to get round to it! Sorry for the delay everyone.

Thank you Katie, for the nomination!

Here I present to you: Rat.

Hitpoint lines, extra region and white Kropki dots.

The Zodiac Project

I Nominate Sotehr to continue this crazy journey!

Knowing Sotehr likes symmetry this is the disjoint region I set for him!

Solution code: Row 4 left to right

I was also stuck and trying out maths until I realised I forgot the disjoint rule (too excited by the hitlines)

Another brilliant entry in the series. Thank you!

(And to @ViKingPrime and @sujoyku: glad I'm not the only one!)

Lovely puzzle! After reading ViKingPrime's comment, it dawned on me I had missed something ... A stellar contribution to the series with beautiful use of the disjoint. Thank you, Ratfinkz!

This is embarassing to admit but I actually forgot about the disjoint. Turns out the puzzle flows very smoothly when you remember the rules. Fantastic entry, love how the logic jumps arounds the grid.
