Neapolitan Quarantine Cages / Neapolitanische Quarantäne-Felder
(Published on 25. September 2025, 18:02 by Ryx)
Normal Sudoku rules apply. Additionally:
- Neopolitan: all three cell cages are one of three "flavors": (123), (456) or (789).
- Quarantine: Cages that are a knight's move apart cannot share any of the same digits. i.e. if the cage at r1c1 was 123, then the cage at r2c4 could not contain a 1, 2 or 3.
- Arrows: digits along the arrows sum to the digit in the arrow's circle.

looks impossible at first, but once you find the key, solves very easily via basic sudoku.
hint: 1) study the cage interactions. 2) row 2
@VitP - yes, and with the symmetry of the puzzle, row 8 as well. I had intended to rotate the puzzle 90 degrees before publishing it, because I thought that would make the symmetry easier to see ... but I forgot :-(
