A digit in a square indicates the total number of digits it sees in its row and column which are smaller than itself, where digits larger than itself block vision. (For clarity, it does not see itself.)
Digits either side of a black dot have a ratio of 1:2.

Very nice! Slow but fun and rewarding solve until the end, where a surprise, which I found a bit unfitting to the puzzle, completely rushed it to the end. Thank you

Can you clarify the vision rule? eg If a digit 4 is in a square and the digits to the right of it are 2 3 1, does it see all of those digits, or does the 3 block vision of the 1?
