Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply, i.e. each row, column, and 3x3 region has to contain the digits from 1 to 9 once each.
- Region Sum Lines: Box borders divide the blue lines into segments with the same sum. (Different lines may have different sums.)
- Up to N-sums: A clue outside the Row or Column N indicates the sum of all digits up to the cell that contains the digit N. (The digit N itself is not included in the sum.)
Here you can solve the puzzle online:
Solution code: Column 9 from top to bottom (9 digits in total)

Thank you for this nice puzzle, dear sujoyku! At first I had problems to understand the Up-to-N rule. I think it would be helpful if you add an example in the explanation of the rules to explain it more concretely.
Once I had understood the rule I really liked the solve! Thank you! :)

You are much welcome, Lenivaya_Joppa, thank you for your comment! I am glad that you enjoyed the puzzle. I used to include examples in the first Up to N-puzzles I posted. Maybe I should not have stopped doing that. Thank you for the suggestion!

To answer the previous comment, even if you peeked behind the curtain like I did a few years ago, it still feels like magic to me :) And yeah, quite an addictive hobby indeed!
Interesting constraint and fun puzzle! Thanks :)

Thank you for your comment, Christounet! I am glad that you enjoyed the puzzle. And I agree 100%, setting can feel magic, especially when things suddenly work out or allow for logic one had not even hoped for.

A preposterously beautiful construction. Sometimes I consider learning how to set sudoku puzzles, but part of me doesn’t want to peek behind the curtain. It feels like magic to me. Thanks again
**
You are much welcome, rhodri, thank you for your kind words! I am glad that you liked this construction. Considering setting: If you ever set a puzzle, let me know so I can try it. But be warned: it can become as (or even more?) addictive than solving puzzles. :)

Great puzzle, 42 minutes.
Indeed, the break-in is not so difficult, but then the middle section is more difficult, hard work and then all of sudden you race to the end.

Thank you for your comment, yusuf17! I am glad that you enjoyed the puzzle.

Liked it a lot, in particular that the break-in is easier and it get‘s tougher later - at a point where it‘s become less intimidating. I think it can be rated 3 stars for difficulty, while the break-in is only two. It took me an age to see to see the single in r8c8 …

anyone familiar with this variant will find it easy. beginners will be challenged but not excluded.
--> level 2
**
Thank you for commenting, VitP! As I said below, I think this is somewhat on the edge between 2 and 3 stars. So I am fine with either difficulty rating.

Extremely smooth puzzle, I guess 2 stars for difficulty. A very enjoyable solve. Thank you!
**
You are much welcome, Snookerfan, thank you for your comment! I am glad you had a smooth solve. Concerning difficulty: Some testers also had it at 2 stars. I was unsure about some of the later steps, so I uploaded it at 3 anyways. If it gets voted down to 2 stars, I won't object. :)
