I had the idea of a puzzle where the user chooses the rules they encounter while solving. Three times during this puzzle you choose between two paths so there is a total of fourteen different variant rules along the eight routes the solver can navigate. Huge thanks to Chameleon for their amazing framework and code review of this puzzle.
Standard sudoku rules apply. As you annotate your map (fill in digits) you will be presented with choices to decide what to explore next (causing new rules to appear). Upon choosing you may see new landmarks and notate them on your map (new given digits may appear).

I appreciated having some options, because I got stuck in some of the quagmire a few times!

Absolutely loved this. Had to go and try all routes. Didn't even remember to grab a solution code as just kept going back for another route. Thankyou and also great coding works really well (I may have snuck a look at the code, it's really elegant solution)

Very clever idea and a super puzzle! Is there a name for this genre? A "Fog-of-Lore" perhaps
