Studious, by James Sinclair

Normal sudoku rules apply, and all clues are standard.
Arrows: the sum of the digits along an arrow is equal to the digit in the connected circle.
German whispers: along green lines, digits differ from their neighbors by at least 5.
Renban lines: purple lines contain a non-repeating set of consecutive digits in any order.

This was my entry in Scojo's Impostor challenge. (Here's the very nicely-constructed puzzle by my impostor, who turned out to be PjoeterBliep.)

If you want more of my puzzles, check out Artisanal Sudoku, where I publish a new set of (generally pretty approachable) variant sudokus every week.

Wonderful! Gave it a 3 star difficulty, but break-in felt like a 4 star revelation. Very beautiful the way the lock cracks when you pop the right tumblers. Thank you for this!

Yes, that is indeed exactly why I continue doing your puzzles whenever I see them. Exellently pretty solve path.

Lovely puzzle, elegant break in, but very silly that the difficulty is not rated 3 stars

Great puzzle with a lovely break-in!

Lovely! The way the renbans and whispers interact here is gorgeous. (And renbans are one of my least favorite constraints so it takes a lot for them to excite me, but this puzzle definitely accomplishes it!)

definitely harder than level 2.
the only thing that prevents it from being level 4 is KNOWING this is by james sinclair.
sure, the middle is easier, and the end is easy, but that doesn't matter if you can't get past the beginning.

Incredibly well-set! But how would it not, given it is so clearly in your style? Thank you for this beautiful creation, jwsinclair!
