A Trip to the Supermarket

(Published on 11. September 2025, 05:31 by Scojo)

This puzzle series was set as an attempt to impersonate Michael Lefkowitz (Juggler). Unfortunately for me, Michael proved he is the better Juggler, and the voters were not fooled.

Time to go grocery shopping! First on the list is some fresh fruit.

Part 1: Produce Products
  • Normal 6x6 Sudoku rules apply.
  • Fruits that are the same type have the same product.

  • Normal 6x6 Sudoku rules apply.

Part 3: The Steaks Are High
  • Normal 6x6 Sudoku rules apply.
  • All digits on a steak are greater than all digits orthogonally adjacent to that steak.
  • Adjacent digits along sausage links are consecutive.

Part 4: Checkout
  • Uh oh! I dropped the milk again!
  • Normal Sudoku rules apply.
  • The price of an item is equal to its sum. A scanner gives the total price of all items in its line of sight. Any items covered in milk are scanned, but the milk itself is not. A single unbroken chain of sausages is considered one item. Items do not share cells with other items.
  • Fruits that are the same type have the same product.
  • All digits on a steak are greater than all digits orthogonally adjacent to that steak.
  • Adjacent digits along sausage links are consecutive.

Great pack of puzzles. Was stuck for a long time on part 3 before I realised i hadn't read the rules properly. Part 4 was really cool. Thanks!

Impressive visuals and a juggler-esque playfulness, great job!

An incredible tribute and an inconceivably brilliant masquerade. On visuals or clarity of vision you would have had us fooled but alas, you cannot disguise your own voice. An absolute highlight of the challenge.

What a crazy journey! I'm honored, and impressed by how much work must have gone into these puzzles. The milk was my favorite innovation: humorous and a really nice synergy of form and function. And those steaks look great.

A reminder to everyone: never shop for groceries when you're hungry!
