"Sparse" ONE UP

(Published on 8. September 2025, 23:44 by jbermejo)

As in "One Up" (see KURCHAN's puzzle at https://logic-masters.de/Raetselportal/Raetsel/zeigen.php?id=000IMX), place the numbers 1 to n in each row and column, where n is the number of cells between thick walls. For example, if a space is only one square long, it must contain the number 1. If the space is two squares long, it will contain the numbers 1 and 2, in some order. In this variation, most (if not all) walls are missing and must be placed in the correct positions. See an example below.
If you enjoy One up puzzles, you can play a daily puzzle at OneUpPuzzle.com.
Note: this is a variant and not a regular One Up puzzle. The original One Up puzzle was created by Rodolfo Kurchan.

Solution code: The second row (left to right).
