Eviction Notice (Slingshot/Numbered Rooms)

(Published yesterday, 10:59 by damo_89)

This is my first time setting with slingshot, which I have paired with numbered rooms and allowed clues to be slung outside the grid. Consensus testing estimate is 3-4 stars difficulty, I am plumping for the higher rating as there is a lot to keep track of. Good luck!

  • Normal sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1 to 9 once each in every row, column and 3x3 box
  • Slingshot: If a bent arrow is present in a cell, the digit in the cell the arrow comes from appears in the grid in the direction of the arrow at a distance of N cells, where N is the digit in the arrow's cell
  • Numbered Rooms: Digits in the cells bordering the 9x9 grid become numbered rooms clues. A numbered room clue gives the digit which is to be placed in the Nth cell in that row or column, where N is the digit in the first cell
  • Numbered rooms clues are to be deduced by the solver. Slingshot clues can map digits to become numbered rooms clues. For example, if R1C9 contained a 9, the digit in R2C9 would be placed in the cell to the left of row 1, and become the numbered room clue for row 1. Slingshot clues can not map digits beyond the outer ring of numbered room clue cells. For example, R6C3 can be a 7, which would place the digit from R7C3 to become a numbered room clue for row 6, but it cant be greater than 7 as this would map a digit entirely outside of the puzzle
  • X: Digits separated by an X sum to 10. Not all X are necessarily given
