Rules:
  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Zippers: digits an equal distance to the central cell (marked with a circle) of a lavender zipper line sum to the central digit.
  • First Hidden Skyscraper: digits in the grid represent skyscrapers of that height, with taller skyscrapers obscuring smaller ones. A clue outside the grid shows the first digit that cannot be seen from the clue's direction.

Excellent puzzle with some nonstandard logic that makes you feel quite smart when you figure it out!

Really enjoyable interplay between the two constraints. At first a real head-scratcher - how could this possibly solve with so few constraints? - but then the penny drops and it’s quite plain sailing from there on in. Lovely puzzle.

First hidden skyscraper is still a wildly confusing rule but this utilised it beautifully.

I found 3 stages:
- Pretty clear initial break in limiting certain set of cells with 4 valid configurations.
- Then complex part with finding out which of them is the only possible.
- Then again the puzzle is pretty easy.

Overall the puzzle is very enjoyable and it was quite surprising which clue made the difference in the complex part. Thank you!
