TLDR: Each big cell contains four non-repeating digits, summing to one of four totals, and you play 4x4 sudoku with the four totals. A quad is also a big Kropki.
- 8x8 Latin Square:
- Fill the grid with the digits 1-8 so there are no repeats in any row or column.
- Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive.
- Digits in large white circles must appear in the four surrounding cells.
- 4x4 "Sudoku":
- Each large 'cell' contains four digits, which do not repeat. The value of a cell is the sum of its digits.
- Deduce a set of four values, and fill the 4x4 grid with them so that values do not repeat in a row, column, or box.
- Values separated by a large white dot (quadruple clue) are consecutive.
- Values in the cage do not repeat, and sum to the indicated total.
