Very nice puzzle but closer to a 2* difficulty rather than 1*. The region sum line wholly within box 8 was very confusing.

Nice puzzle @fogpictures! One note regarding the region sum line totally contained in box 8, it is not standard and can be confusing but I understand the need to have the need to match the other sum line (boxes 7/8) for esthetic reasons.

I don't know if I missed something somewhere, but there was s point where I was sort of at a loss of where I was supposed to look for the next digit, but enough of the picture was available that the only possible digit that stuck out to me was a cell under fog where I was just assuming the symmetry from the picture would be there. And I was right, but using that kind of logic in a fog puzzle doesn't feel good.
I can't tell if it was intentional, but I did spend a fair while scouring all the available cells i already had, and I didn't notice anything else I could have done.
