P-Bahn (Pentominous U-Bahn)

This puzzle was created in a setting contest where I tried to impersonate the_cogito.

Rules

  • U-Bahn: Draw a totally connected loop network through the centers of some cells, which may branch or turn, but may not have any dead ends. A clue outside the grid indicates how many times the corresponding line shape (i.e. a cross, branch, straight line, or turn) appears in the corresponding row or column, irrespective of the line shape's rotation.

  • Pentominous: Divide the grid into non-overlapping pentominoes such that every cell is part of a pentomino. Orthogonally adjacent pentominoes may not be the same shape, regardless of rotation or reflection. A cell with a letter indicates that it belongs to the pentomino of the corresponding shape.

  • Interactions:
    • The line segments emerging from a cell may cross at most 2 pentomino borders.
    • The loop network must cross the borders of every pentomino exactly 3 times.

Phew!
Reading and interpreting the rules correctly would have helped a lot ;)
Somehow I tried to connect the lines from one pentomino with max. 2 others (like in the example). This led to nowhere. Even your comment couldn't open my eyes at the beginning. Finally there was this epiphany and the rest was much more pleasure than work. As always!
