Missing Digits

(Published on 22. July 2025, 17:45 by mimec)

I created this puzzle some time ago while experimenting with the 10-in-9/doppelganger variants. It's definitely harder than most of my puzzles, but it contains some very nice logic, so I decided to finally publish it.

Rules:

  • Place digits 0-9 so that they don't repeat in any row, column or 3x3 box.
  • Box number N can't contain the digit N (boxes are numbered from 1 to 9 in normal reading order).
  • Digits on a purple Renban line must be a set of consecutive, non-repeating digits (in any order).
  • Digits along each thermometer must increase starting from the bulb end.
  • Cells connected by an X must sum to 10. Cells connected by a V must sum to 5. Not all Xs and Vs are given.
For example, box 5 contains digits 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 (but not a 5), so there is always one digit per cell.
