8x8 Paired Knights

This is a step in extending my 6x6 Paired Knights puzzles into a full 9x9 grid. It is more difficult than most of my previous puzzles but does solve logically. I hope you enjoy it.
Normal 8x8 sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 - 8 once in every row, column and bold outlined region.
Thermometers: Digits must increase along the thermometers starting from the bulb end.
Paired Knights: Every cell in the puzzle must be a Chess Knights move away from at least one other cell with the same digit.
