1080° (Quadruples sudoku, by Raumplaner & Qodec)

Posted on behalf of Raumplaner, who created the first version of this puzzle, which had two additional quadruple clues in box 5. We both wondered if it was possible to find a version without, and I was lucky enough to find one. This is what you see below.
- Sudoku: Each row, column, and region indicated by thick borders in the grid must contain the digits 1 to 9 once each.
- Quadruples: Digits in circles must appear at least once in the four surrounding cells.

Solution code: Row 5. I.e. the 9 digits in row 5 from left to right, for example: 123456789

I really enjoyed the puzzle. Very difficult. Even after I figured out the main trick, that only just got me started on a long journey.
