The Entropic Archipelago

This puzzle was created for Scojo's weekly setting prompt, initiated by Flinty, which challenged setters to use given digits in fog in a creative way.
It also draws inspiration from the wonderful EnTropic Islands by Paletron.

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules: Place the digits 1 to 9 in each Row, Column, and 3X3 box.
Dynamic Fog: The grid is covered with fog. Correctly placed digits will reveal that cell only. Some key deductions will uncover more fog. No guessing is required.
Entropy Islands: Low digits (1, 2, 3), middle digits (4, 5, 6), and high digits (7, 8, 9) are defined as different entropy groups. Orthogonally connected cells of the same entropy are entropic islands. A given digit gives the size of the entropy island that cell is in. An entropy island may have any number of given digits within it, and not all possible given digits are necessarily given.
Solution code: Column 9 digits from top to bottom.

Love, love, LOVED the puzzle! I'll be featuring it in about a week in my Learn How To Sudoku series, but I loved the puzzle so much, that I wanted to post my love early.

Very nice setting. Loved the original puzzle by paletron and this is a very nice variation. A lot easier but still keeps the key concepts of the ruleset intact.

Crazy how smooth that was.. I think the fog made this more approachable than without.
