SAD (Sums All Different)
(Published on 12. July 2025, 17:37 by lcy.30)
Normal Sudoku rules apply. (Put digits 1 to 9 in every row, column, and 3x3 box.)
- Region Sum Lines: Box borders divide a line into segments with the same sum. Each line must have a different total sum of digits from all other lines.
- Black Kropki Dot: A black dot sits between two digits where one is double the other. Not all black dots are necessarily given.
Try the puzzle on the SudokuPad app by Sven Neumann.
Hint:
Colouring the high digits could be useful. The fact that the R5C3 line and R5C4 line do not have the same total sum could be important.
Solution code: Row 9, from left to right.

Modified the rule to state that not all black dots are necessarily given.

Either this puzzle has an error or I misread the rules. The way I read them was all black dots are given, which makes it unsolvable.
