Counting Dimensions

(Published on 5. July 2025, 07:08 by Fenners)

Thanks to Roger Wrightshoe and ChinStrap and helpers for testing and providing useful insights on some tweaks I needed to make. This follows on from the my semi chaos construction series:

The 4th Dimension

Dimensional Analysis

Good luck and hope you enjoy, all comments greatly appreciated!

Puzzle: Counting Dimensions

Rules:

Normal 9x9 Sudoku rules apply.

Extra region construction: There are 9 non-overlapping orthogonally connected extra regions you must construct that each contain the digits 1-9.

Counting circles: A digit in a red circle indicates how many times that digit appears in red circles. Additionally, the digit in each red circle indicates how many cells within its 3x3 box are part of its extra region. Once an extra region leaves a 3x3 box it must not re-enter that 3x3 box.

Extra Region Cave clue: A digit in a blue square indicates how many cells of its extra region are in its row and column combined, including itself.
