Self-Help Aisle (with ChinStrap)

- Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- Dynamic Fog: The grid is covered in fog. Placing a correct digit in a cell lifts fog from that cell and possibly other cells; revealing new clues.
- Subset Index Lines: Digits on a line form a non-repeating consecutive set. Digits along the line are indexed by their relative value in the set: The first position indexes the lowest digit, the second position indexes the second-lowest digit, etc.
- For example, a length five line with lowest digit 4 could be 46578 (starting with 4 in the diamond).
- Lines do not cross themselves or share cells with other lines.
- Self Reference Counters: Each circle points to a line, and a digit in the circle counts how many digits on that line index themselves.
- For example, a length 5 line that is 46578 would have a self reference count of 3, because the 4, 7 and 8 are all self-indexed.

I thought I was getting good at index lines but this version was quite hard. Very lovely puzzle though. Thanks!

Wonderful and challenging puzzle! I really liked the ruleset with the addition of the self-reference arrows!

Thank you for the fun puzzle, mellowrobinson and ChinStrap! I first needed to warm up to these renbanny Index Lines. But I started liking them more and more during the solve.
