How Many Primes Fit In A Box?

(Published on 22. June 2025, 05:00 by Will Power)

Come to think of it, how many odd numbers can be in a prime cage? Think about both of these before you start. Normal Sudoku rules apply. ARROWS- Numbers on arrows sum to the number in the arrow's pill. Pills are read from left to right or top to bottom. KILLER CAGES- Numbers in all cages each sum to prime numbers that must be determined by the solver. KROPKI PAIRS- Numbers with a black dot between them are in a ratio of 2:1. Not all possible dots are shown. Cells with the number 1 and the number 9 are NEVER orthogonally adjacent (share an edge) in the whole puzzle.

Strange thing: the final solution seems to have an pair of adjacent cells with a 1 and a 9.
I had overlooked this rule and ended up with a deadly pattern involving six cells in the first 3 columns.
Then I checked the rules again and saw the 1-9 rule.
Strange.

@yusuf17 Please don't overlook any rules. The puzzles we create have a unique solution when ALL of the rules are obeyed. I cannot control the output of your work when you do not take all rules into account. Peace to you. -Will Power

FIRST

very intricate, but still pretty easy, because each arrow or cage can be solved IN ISOLATION, until you are close to the end.

hint: two secrets plus the answer = an important result.
