there's no benefit to using non-standard terms in "normal" puzzles. indeed, the opposite is true.
the correct term for a multi-branch thermometer is "multi-branch thermometer"

Great puzzle, with nice flow.
Correct me if I am wrong, but most people consider the center box as 4 thermos sharing a bulb and not as one thermo. Maybe good to clarify the rules.

True, but given that it's the only step for a solve, I will keep it as an added difficulty. Digits generally can't repeat on a thermo, so there would have been no added benefit in adding it to the rules. It should force people to take a perspective on why it is part of the ruleset
