XV*-O-*X

(Published on 6. June 2025, 07:43 by NurglesGift)

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Cells connected by an X must sum to 10.

Cells connected by an V must sum to 5.

All X's and V's are given.

Cells connected by a white dot must be consecutive.

Digits in a cage can not be orthogonally adjacent with a consecutive digit.

Each line must be given 1 bulb at one of the line-ends. (for the lines with no ends you have to find the bulb and direction of the line)

Two lines of the same length and same color are connected X lines.

Counting from the bulb, the first cell of each connected X line sum to 10. the second cell of each line sum to 10 etc.

The puzzle has 2 unique solutions. I think there might be a cage missing?

Deadly pattern at the end? I expected the negative XV constraint to resolve that, but it didn't. Rules in sudokupad list an additional constraint acting on cages, which could resolve this but there is no cage drawn in the grid.
