Logic solvable
Oil and Water
Inspiration for this type comes from Blobz.
Solve online in Sudokupad.
Like all of my sudoku variants, this puzzle can be solved by logic alone. Guessing is not required and also no sophisticated solving techniques are necessary; just plain and easy sudoku steps and of course the intrinsic logic this specific variant has to offer. In case you don't find that logic or get stuck, feel free to ask for a hint in the comments below this puzzle and I'll be happy to help you.
Apply classic sudoku rules.
The small numbers in the upper left corner of each cage (dotted outlined region) indicate the sum of the digits in that cage. Within each cage all digits must be different. Each cage is either full of oil (even digits), full of water (odd digits), or a mix of both. Each row within a cage contains only one type of digits (oil or water). Oil floats on water, so even digits will always be in rows above odd digits in mixed cages.
Solution code: Row 1.
