Noah's Ark

(Published on 13. May 2025, 23:34 by meggen033)

The variants in this puzzle come two by two, except for the cages where we need to keep all these rascally creatures. This is the next puzzle in what I'm going to call my “Kitchen Sink” series, where I throw in a little bit of everything. Check out my previous puzzles where I did just that:

1.) Sudoku Pinball Machine

2.) Fun House

3.) Exclusive Singularity

4.) Kitchen Sink in the Fog

Solve with SudokuPad

• Normal Sudoku rules apply.

• Digits along a diagonal cannot repeat

• Digits along a magenta renban form a set of consecutive non-repeating digits in any order.

• Adjacent digits along a green German Whisper line must have a difference of at least 5.

• Digits in a cage do not repeat and sum to the clue in the top left.

• A black dot between cells indicates cell values with a 2:1 ratio. A white dot between cells indicates cells with consecutive values. Not all dots are given.

• Digits along each thermometer must increase starting from the bulb end.

• Digits in a white circle must appear at least once in the four surrounding cells.

• Cells with a filled square must be even. Cells with a filled circle must be odd.

• The digits along each arrow must sum to the digit in the circled cell.

What a delightful puzzle! Two-by-two was a very nice amount of each constraint to have, and makes for a fun theme!

23:15, but it felt quite hard. This is like an exam for intermediate variant sudoku.

This was tough for me (since I usually stick to 1*) but was able to chip away at it and solve in just over 100 minutes...very well set that there were so many things unresolvable for as long as they were until spotting a few critical things

This is a low-key masterpiece. It did not yield easily for me, but it exponentially increased my satisfaction upon solving it. Kudos!
