RULE SET:

Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 9 in each row, column, and box.

RENBAN (PURPLE): Digits along a purple Renban line must be a set of consecutive non-repeating digits, and may appear in any order.

GERMAN WHISPER (GREEN): Adjacent digits along a green German Whispers line must differ by at least 5. Digits may repeat if other rules allow.

DIAMONDS (BLUE): The set of three blue diamonds sum to 16.
(R1C2 + R1C5 + R3C9 = 16)

For our color blind friends:

German Whispers lines are thick. Renban lines are thin. There are parts in the puzzle where both line types overlap.

Very nice coloring puzzle with the disambiguation at the very end where it should be in a good puzzle. Thank you!

I normally give up on these tricky puzzles after an hour of stagnation but I stuck with this one and after many hours I finally got the breakthrough of the box 5 whispers line. Very clever & satisfying Sudoku, TY ebiggie

~~~~~~
A Super Great job Noggin! I'm glad you persevered and got the solve. Well done :)
I guess this one is more difficult then I thought. Even though I believe there aren't any 3* level deductions in this puzzle I'm changing it to 3* based on amount of solves.
this one has some technical difficulties in the solution, so i recommend using digits as LABELS, because you will not be able to disambiguate high/low until the very, very end
~~~~~
Hi VitP,
I'm not following what you meant by technical difficulties in the solution, because there is indeed a unique solution for this puzzle. For label methodology I found it easy to color the 123, 456, and 789 groups due to the Renban constraint. At least that's what I did during construction and testing. I always find it fascinating how many different approaches can be used to solve a puzzle! Especially with labeling. As always, Thank you kindly for your comment and insights :)
