Divide the grid into areas along the grid lines. An area may contain either only circles or only squares (but not both); empty areas are not permitted. The lines that form the area boundaries start and end at the edge of the diagram, may turn at right angles in the black dots (but nowhere else) and may cross each other in all grid points except the black dots. Not all black dots have to be used.
Solution code: Lines 5 and 8: Q for a square, K for a circle, and I for a vertical dividing line
