Lost in the jungle 2: Arrow Kropki
(Published on 2. May 2025, 21:02 by GameWorksRP)
This was my first time working in sudokumaker, and have now used most setting tools for sudoku (that I could find). I think I have an idea what they are each best suited for. After setting this puzzle I had someone playtest it, and they said they absolutely hated arrow puzzles. So I hope this puzzle finds its place here. With the Lost in the jungle puzzles I want to introduce a constraint with a small and somewhat simple break-in and resolution. I hope this puzzle fits that line.
The Lost in the jungle series:
Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply, place the digits 1-9 in every row column and box.
Arrow: Digits on an arrow sum to the digit in the attached bulb.
Partial Kropki: Digits separated by a black dot are in a 2:1 ratio.
The puzzle
Solution code: Row 5:

There is some nice logic. I found this on the hard side of 1* and made mistakes along the way.

After 20 minutes of no break-in beyond a 12 in cell 9 of box 1, I agree with your playtester

Fun, thank you! I got stuck and then made a logic error but got it in the end. I enjoyed the challenge!
