just a beautiful core concept; took a bit to find it but once i did, i couldn't stop saying "wow" the rest of the solve

Lovely puzzle!
I found this after trying "No Quarter", which was a bit too difficult for me. This puzzle has a nice difficulty and a very satisfying solve!

General polish: removed redundant givens, and tweaked the rest to be more aesthetically pleasing.
The logic, key concept and symmetry are all unchanged.
