Big Brother

This puzzle is named after the Kanye West song.

Rules:
  • Irrwisch: Clues are encrypted with letters A-D. Each instance of an individual letter stands for a different digit from 1-9. (The space on the right of the grid is to help the solver keep track of which digits have been used).

  • Landvermessung: Shade some cells such that there are no closed loops of shaded cells (which includes a shaded 2x2). The value in a circle clue is the number of shaded cells in the shortest path that visits all those directly touched by the clue. An unclued circle may have any number of cells in the shortest such path, OR such a path might not exist.

  • Battenburg: Circle clues also obey Battenburg rules; that is, the 2x2 area surrounding the clue has a checkerboarded shading pattern. ALL possible checkerboard patterns have been clued.

  • Clues outside the grid indicate the number of shaded cells in that row/column.

Solution code: The lengths of shaded and unshaded cells in the last two rows (For the example puzzle the solution code would be 1221123)
