I made this puzzle as a birthday present for ChattyKathy, a streamer friend of mine.
RULES:Normal (hexagonal) Kakuro rules apply: Place a digit from 1 to 9 in each empty cell such that digits do not repeat in a straight line with no black clue cells separating them. A number in a black cell gives the sum of the digits that clue sees in its indicated direction (up until the next black cell or the edge of the grid).
Solution code: Row 1, then row 4, ignoring the clue cells (13 digits in total)

Very elegant construction with a nice break-in! And a wonderful birthday-cake with all those 4s, 13s and 30s as candles on it. Thank you very much for creating and sharing this lovely puzzle.

My first hexagonal puzzle! I struggled with the scanning initially, but I can see the allure and the charm of having an extra axis in the grid.
