Birthday Party

(Published on 10. April 2025, 07:32 by Paper Boat)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 9 in each row, column, and box.

Thermometers: Digits along a thermometer must strictly increase from the bulb to the tip.

Region Sum Lines (Blue): Box borders divide blue lines into segments. Each segment of a given line must have the same sum (this sum may be different for different lines).

Alternating Parity Line (Red): Digits along the red candle must alternate in parity.

Constant Parity Lines (Purple): Digits along a purple candle must have the same parity.

8-Line (Brown): the brown line consists of contiguous groups of cells, each of which sums to 8. Groups cannot overlap. Additionally, the digits 1-8 must appear on the brown line at least once.

Very nice puzzle. The only suggestion would be a different colour for the purple lines. I always wanted to use it as a renban line ;o

Agreed. the 8 line added a lot of fun. Also this was the first time I had ever seen a thermometer with three bulbs.

This was quite a fun puzzle, I had a blast solving it! The 8-Line was very fun to figure out, and this puzzle had some very nice logic to it.
