Trilobite (Killer)

(Published on 9. June 2025, 06:00 by tallcat)

The first SudokuCon back in April was a great experience and a lot of fun. While I didn't have much time for setting during the Con itself, I left with a few ideas percolating in my brain including the break-in of this puzzle. Happy solving!

Normal Sudoku rules apply

Killer: Digits in cages may not repeat and must sum to the given total in the top left corner.

Can be played online at F-puzzles and Sudokupad

Solution code: Row 4 (left to right). Nine digits, no spaces.

Definitely a masterclass in asking those weird Tallcat-y geometrical questions of what digits can go where.

Thanks tallcat for this wonderfull puzzle. Killer cages once again prove to be the great classic self sufficient constraint. They were trendy five years ago and still are. And they don't need to be incredibly hard to bring new logic and fun.
Thanks again, tallcat.
