• 4x4x4 Octoquadri: Within each 4x4 grid, choose eight of the digits from 1 to 9 and place two of each of those digits in that grid such that no digit repeats in a row, column or 2x2 box of the grid.
  • Digits in different grids (or in the four clued cells outside of the four grids) may repeat in rows and columns. However, cells in the same relative position within two different Octoquadri grids cannot contain the same digit.
  • Missing Digits: The four clued cells outside the four Octoquadri grids must contain four different digits. In addition, each of those digits must be the digit from 1 to 9 that does not appear in one of the two grids adjacent to that cell.
• Orange lines are Dutch Whisper lines (adjacent digits along them must differ by at least 4).
• Index Lines: Along a turquoise line, the Nth digit along the line starting from the diamond indicate the position along that line where the digit N appears (e.g. 3214 would be a valid line).
• Candy: Each of the four colors red, green, blue and yellow represents a different one of the following clue types: white kropki (separating two consecutive digits), black kropki dots (for two digits in a 1:2 ratio), X (for two digits that sum to ten), or V (for two digits that sum to 5). A 1 and 2, or a 2 and 3, may have either valid color of dot between them. Within the northeast Octoquadri grid, all possible dots are given.
• Killer: Digits cannot repeat within a cage, and must sum to the number or inequality in the corner of the cage.
• Renban: Each pink line must contain a set of nonrepeating consecutive digits, in any order (the southeast grid also contains some Dutch Whisper lines).
