Null Pickles, Null Tomatoes

(Published on 1. April 2025, 00:21 by Asi_Pasasi)

This is my third and final (for now) take on the "Null Cells" rule I took interest of lately. I think this rule has great potential and mixes very well with the common variants, and I hope a better setter than me will find interest in it as well and construct their own take on it.

Normal Sudoku rules apply (digits 1-9).

Null Cells: The value of every cell that orthogonally touches a cell that contains the digit "1" is equal to 0.

Sandwiches: Numbers outside the grid indicate the sum of the values between the digits 1 and 9 in the corresponding row or column. (a "9" cell being a null cell does not nullify it from being a sandwich).

Gray squares contain even values.

Some very cool SW logic. No bifurcation needed. Thanks

just like the previous nuller puzzle i did, this one looks intractable at first, but then i did some bifurcation (trial and error), and found that there are some SEVERE RESTRICTIONS here (at least two TYPES)
