Dutch Angles
(Published on 30. March 2025, 12:04 by ndsurgenor)
- Normal sudoku rules apply
- A single Dutch Whisper line (i.e. a line whose adjacent digits have a difference of at least 4) is to be added to the grid which must pass through ALL given circles and squares (but not necessarily every cell) and start/end at each of the given diamonds (◇)
- The line never visits any cell more than once, NEVER changes direction while moving through a circle, ALWAYS changes direction while moving through a square, and may not move diagonally or across itself
- A digit within a circle or a square indicates how many digits, INCLUDING ITSELF, equal to 4 or less it sees along the line section(s) which pass(es) through it
Example: if required, the image below will provide rule(s) clarification
Solution code: Row 4 and Row 6

I really enjoyed that one; it had plenty of lovely logic and I really liked the use of the circles & squares with their restrictions.
REPLY: Thank you for your kind words! I started with just circles when setting up the puzzle but realised that another shape might make it even more intriguing.
